I’ve been in the Pokemon fandom for a long time, but I’ll be the first to admit that there are some very blatant sues and stus running about. So, I figured I’d submit this friendly guy.
Meet Layle, a Dragon Tamer. That in and of itself isn’t so bad, nor is the fact that he was born in Blackthorn City. (The city of Dragon Tamers if you will for those who aren’t familiar with Pokemon.)
However, that’s about the extent of understandable as a very rare Dragon hatches the exact same time he’s born, (A dratini which later evolves into the most powerful first generation dragon) that he can understand fully without help of any sort.
As soon as Layle could walk and talk he was taught all the forms of school you could think of. Grammar, Math, etc. (He’s not even 5 yet.)
On his fourth Birthday Lance (A Dragon Master and League Champion) gives him a cape. Oh, and he calls him ‘Uncle Lance’.
Later, when he turns five Team Rocket (Think Mafia) attacks and mortally wounds his mother. From there, she hands over an awesome and completely unexplained ring of limitless power. From there Layle lays waste to the trained murderers and kills them. At Five.
He does so by using Pokemon attacks via the ring’s power. (For those unaware, some of the arsenal of Pokemon Attacks include dropping Draconic Meteors upon the opponent or blasting them with a storm of Magma.)
After killing the Mafia he grabs his dratini and runs for it, making his way to Mount Silver (Possibly the most dangerous place in the entire Pokemon world.) and a hiker helps him out… A hiker who casually gives him a fire dragon (charmander) (Incidentally, to have Pokemon and stuff it’s typically believed you need to have a license. He does not have one.)
In case you’re wondering, we’re not even a fragment done but for sake of Pacing I’ll speed things up.
He starts swimming up waterfalls, Catches a Larvitar (it evolves into a Pokemon that’s basically a rock t-rex), finds gold laying about, goes back into civilization, a professor casually hands him a rare research tool without an explanation, goes through the game plot of Gold Silver and Crystal, kills and maims more mafia, gets shot just to watch the wounds seal instantly because he regenerates, and saves a steel type expert named Jasmine because he’s the hero.
He learns to craft Pokeballs in a few weeks time (capture devices), trains under a master martial artist and treats the artist as if he was lesser than him in martial arts… And the list just keeps going.
Oh yes, he’s also given another rare and Powerful Dragon which fully evolves as soon as he first sees it. (Kingdra)
The real kicker to all this? He’s not even seven by the time all this happens.
At least the art was passable enough. But I can’t help but feel the picture is mocking all those that read his bio…
